Recording Contracts

A recording contract is often the most-important, career-related document a musician will sign.  And yet we are continually taken aback at how spontaneously musicians sign the first-draft of a recording contract put in front of them.  We understand the sense of joy and accomplishment that comes with a recording contract offer, but whether or not a recording artist is able to make a living from under his recording contract depends almost entirely upon the parties' allocation of costs, assignment of rights, promotional mandates, and distribution of revenue.  We help recording artists get a more equitable piece of the pie, and we assist our record company clients to obtain the rights and revenue stream they need to establish and maintain operations.
