JOHN P. RUTLEDGE, ESQ.

John P. Rutledge is licensed to practice law in Nevada and California, and has served as exclusive transactional counsel for a billion-dollar-plus land portfolio and represented a foreign nation-state in its negotiations for the television reality series SURVIVOR: Palau. He has large-firm experience and has done in-depth legal work for, and protected and enforced the intellectual property rights of, famous musicians and several of the world’s largest software companies. Clients have ranged from Governors and High Chiefs to farmers and fishermen, from high-net-worth individuals to mom-and-pop ventures, and from huge land owners and developers to up starts and established small businesses.

Mr. Rutledge is a former member of the Finance Subcommittee for the Nevada Bar’s Real Property Law Section and has also authored a variety of articles for legal journals across the country. He is recognized for excellence in Marquis’ recent editions of Who’s Who in American Law, and is an avid Ironman, Death Rider and marathoner.

Mr. Rutledge received a B.A. in Philosophy from Loyola Marymount University (1994), a J.D. cum laude from the Howard University School of Law (1997), and a Master of Laws degree in Real Property Development from the University of Miami (1998). Mr. Rutledge was repeatedly honored as a Bishop Foundation Scholar and has received many other merit scholarships and Dean’s List distinctions at various times during his academic career.
